Service restored after train hits person in Syosset, LIRR says
Service was restored just after 1 a.m. Saturday on the Port Jefferson branch between Hicksville and Huntington after a person was hit by a train in Syosset Friday night, the Long Island Rail Road said.
The person was struck shortly after 10:30 p.m. on the tracks near Syosset-Woodbury Road, officials said
Police, EMS and LIRR officials were investigating the incident.
