Long Island Rail Road service between Jamaica and Penn Station resumed before the Friday night rush after a suspension because of an unauthorized person on the tracks at the Manhattan transit hub.

The LIRR said to expect eastbound delays averaging 20 minutes and some cancellations following the incident, which occurred around 3 p.m. Service resumed at 4:07 p.m.

The incident caused multiple train delays and cancellations.
