Meadowbrook reopens at Loop drawbridge

The Meadowbrook State Parkway has reopened in both directions after traffic returned to the Loop Parkway Drawbridge in Point Lookout. The parkway had been closed in both directions Tuesday for about 20 minutes because the drawbridge was stuck in the open position, a State Police spokesman said.

All lanes were closed because of the incident, which was reported on the New York State Department of Transportation website at 8:50 a.m. The site reported the situation resolved at 9:10 a.m.

Also, the right lane of the southbound Meadowbrook between Exits M2 and M3 was blocked because of a two-vehicle accident, the DOT website said. That accident was reported at 8:54 a.m.
