The Long Island Rail Road will make schedule changes on all branches starting Monday, Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials said Sunday.

Starting midday, LIRR train service at Lindenhurst, Copiague, and Amityville will be restored from hourly to half-hourly. Weekday connecting times for midday trains on other branches will go back to normal as well.

Weekend and rush-hour trains are not affected by these changes, MTA officials said. Riders looking for a revised midday train departure schedule can pick up a new timetable sheet dated Aug. 21 to Sept. 4 or visit MTA’s website.
