Drivers using the westbound Northern State Parkway are advised that it will be partially closed overnight for three weeks, starting Wednesday.

The state Department of Transportation said in a news release the closures will take place between Exit 39 (Round Swamp Road) in Huntington and Exit 36 (South Oyster Bay Road) in Oyster Bay from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The closures are designed to "facilitate an asphalt pavement resurfacing project," the release said.

For access to the westbound Northern State, the DOT said drivers can detour onto southbound Round Swamp Road to the westbound Long Island Expressway. They can continue to Exit 43 for South Oyster Bay Road southbound.
