A section of the Loop Parkway has reopened after emergency construction closed all eastbound lanes Monday, officials said.

The eastbound lanes were closed on a section of road just west of the Meadowbrook Parkway in Lido Beach at 11:38 a.m. so crews could removed a damaged exit sign, a State Department of Transportation spokesman said.

A portable variable-message sign will remain in place until a new sign can be installed, according to the spokesman.

Roads were reopened about 3 p.m.
