LIRR: Ronkonkoma branch on or close to schedule
The Long Island Rail Road said it was operating on or close to schedule during Monday’s morning rush hour after earlier delays on the Ronkonkoma branch because of signal trouble.
The LIRR said in an email and on social media at about 10:15 a.m. that its trains were on or close to schedule.
Starting at about 7:15 a.m., signal trouble near the Bethpage station caused delays on the Ronkonkoma branch, first averaging up to 10 minutes westbound and then with scattered residual delays averaging 10 minutes.
Repairs were completed at about 9:15 a.m., a spokesman for the commuter service said.
