Tracks Raw Bar and Grill, a longtime staple at Penn Station, reopened Monday following a seven-year hiatus.
The MTA announced the reopening of Tracks, which was forced to close in 2019 as part of renovations to Penn Station. The establishment reopened with Champagne balloons at the entrance to a long bar, according to photos posted on social media.
The eatery and bar returned to its new spot near the Long Island Rail Road concourse following delays and the opening of a second Tracks at Grand Central Madison.
The original at Penn Station was forced to move to create a new stairwell and better lighting as part of a $700 million renovation of the transit hub, Newsday previously reported. The renovation temporarily moved Tracks off 31st Street across from Madison Square Garden, between Seventh and Eighth avenues.
The bar was set to reopen in Penn Station in 2024 in a 3,150-square-foot space on the new concourse, but was delayed until its opening this week.

Grand Central Madison opened a sister site last year with a smaller plate menu near the top of the escalators, following LIRR service beginning there in 2023.
