Wanted: Armed robbery; grocery store theft
Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are looking for a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Elmont.
Police say that at 2:50 p.m. on April 23 a woman was at her home on Barbara Street when she heard the doorbell ring. She saw a man standing at the door with a package. She described him as being 20-25 years old, wearing a UPS jacket, jeans and a brown skull cap. She opened the door and the man entered the home and produced a handgun. He restrained the woman and stole jewelry and an undisclosed amount of money.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are looking for a man wanted in connection with stealing several cases of energy drinks from a Selden supermarket.
According to police, at 6 p.m. on Feb. 28, a man entered Shop Rite at 71 College Rd., loaded five cases of Red Bull energy drinks into a shopping cart and left the store without paying. The drinks have a retail value of $219.
