Wanted: Assault and battery; burglary

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with an assault and battery at a Westbury restaurant.

According to police, at 10:30 p.m. on June 28, a man in Houlihan's restaurant at 725 Merrick Ave. followed the victim into the women's bathroom where he punched the victim on her body and in the face. He is believed to have left in a green sport utility vehicle.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a burglary at a Terryville barber shop.

Police say that between 6:30 p.m. on July 8 and 7:45 a.m. on July 9, a man broke three windows at Highway Barbershop at 4577 Nesconset Hwy., entered the shop, and took cash. The suspect was described as having short hair and wearing a gray shirt, khaki shorts and sneakers.
