Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a suspect who robbed a Franklin Square bank.

Police say the suspect entered the bank on May 24 and threw a black plastic bag at a teller at the Roslyn Savings Bank branch inside Pathmark on 460 Franklin Ave., and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect ran away through the parking lot.

The man appeared to be in his early 20s, with a thin build, wearing a white shirt, dark tie, blue jeans, black jacket and a Yankee baseball hat. He was described as having large teeth with a crooked smile or unusually wide grin.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for the driver or vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in East Islip.

Police say that at 10 p.m. on May 30, a dark gray or metallic-colored vehicle was traveling north when it struck a 1995 Jeep parked at the curb in front of 155 Connetquot Ave. The driver of the Jeep was stepping out of the vehicle when she was struck by the other vehicle, sending her into another car's windshield and causing leg injuries. The dark gray/metallic-colored vehicle left the scene.

Police say they believe the vehicle that left the scene would have some damage to the car.
