Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a man who robbed a Franklin Square gas station.

Police say that at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 a man walked into the Smart Star gas station at 740 Hempstead Tpke., told the employee he had a gun, and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the attendant.

The suspect is described as being in his early 20s and about 5-foot-7 with a heavy build. He was wearing shorts, a dark-hooded sweatshirt and a dark baseball cap.

Suffolk police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for two men who stole items from a drive-through convenience store in Selden.

Police say that at 1:43 a.m. on Aug. 18, the two suspects entered The Barn through a sliding-glass door and took a large amount of cigars, cigarette lighters and beverages.

One suspect was described as being in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a Boston Celtics jersey and a Fighting Irish cap, a black band on his right wrist and white sneakers. The second suspect appeared to be in 20s, with short dark hair and chin hair. He was wearing a T-shirt. Both were carrying backpacks.
