Wanted: Identity theft; Stolen merchandise
Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a man who allegedly stole more than $3,000 from another person's bank account.
Police say that betweenMay 21 and May 25, the suspect deposited three fraudulent checks into the victim's Bank of America account in Baldwin, and then withdrew the money.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for two men who allegedly took merchandise from an Elwood department store without paying for it.
Police said that at 5 p.m. on June 18 two men walked out of Sears in the Huntington Square mall, at 4000 Jericho Tpke., with a bedding ensemble valued at $210.
One suspect was described as being in his 30s with a tattoo on the right side of his neck. The other suspect also had several tattoos.
