Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a man who allegedly posed as a real estate agent to steal jewelry from a Bethpage home.

Police say that at noon on June 9, the suspect entered the home on South Brittany Drive and took the jewelry.

The suspect is described as being in his late 30s or early 40s, about six-feet tall with a medium build and short dark brown hair. He left in a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee north on Route 135.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for two men allegedly involved in a South Huntington assault.

Police say that at 6 a.m. on July 1, a 52-year-old man was found lying unconscious in the parking lot of a bodega across the street from the Carousel Bar at 517 East Jericho Tpke.

The man had head and facial injuries requiring medical attention, according to police.

The two suspect were seen on video leaving the scene in a gray sedan, driving west on Jericho Turnpike.
