Wanted: Petty larceny; fatal hit-and-run
Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a petty larceny in Massapequa.
Police say that on April 18 around 3:45 p.m., the suspect was seen inside Walmart at 200 Sunrise Mall. Police say the suspect stole two sound bars valued at $256 and exited the store without paying for the items. The suspect fled in a gray Nissan Maxima, police say.

Suffolk police are seeking the public's help in identifying the driver of the vehicle they say may have been involved in a fatal hit and run with a pedestrian in West Islip.
Around midnight on July 2, Jason Nelson, 27, of Brightwaters was found lying unconscious on Sandra Avenue in West Islip after a vehicle traveling north struck him. Nelson was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
