Wanted: Theft at store; gas station robbery

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are looking for a man in connection with the theft of merchandise from a store in Manhasset.

Police say that at 4 p.m. on March 22, the suspect was observed in Macy's at 1100 Northern Blvd., taking Polo merchandise valued at about $240. The suspect fled the scene in a light blue or silver Ford four-door sedan with New York plates.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Second Squad detectives are looking for a man wanted in connection with the theft of money from a gas station in Melville last month.

According to police, at 10:55 a.m. on June 9, the suspect entered Citgo at 475 Rte. 110 and took money out of the register while the station attendant was outside with a customer. The man was described as being tall and thin and was wearing all black clothing and a brown hat.
