Dustin Keller says fight with Antonio Cromartie no big deal
CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Dustin Keller has yet to say a word to Antonio Cromartie about their fight in practice, but the Jets' tight end insisted there's no bad blood.
"It's not a big deal," said Keller, whose locker is close to Cromartie's. He hit me and I was upset about it, but it's football. Those things happen."
Following their Tuesday tussle in practice, the entire team was forced to do nearly a dozen "gassers" during the middle of practice.
Cromartie, who declined media requests after the fight, again ducked the media Wednesday. Keller, a naturally low-key guy, said he "tried to keep cool out there. I take care of the guys and keep my calm, but it's been a while."
He also agreed that Friday night's preseason opener in Cincinnati can't come soon enough for the Jets. "Before we all kill each other," he quipped. "Camp's been good, but we're ready to hit another colored jersey."
Holmes out
Santonio Holmes (rib), NT Sione Po'uha (forehead, back) and WR Jeremy Kerley (hamstring) have been ruled out against the Bengals. The status of T Wayne Hunter (lower back stiffness) is still unclear.
