Letter: Misleading mention of play and bomb threat

Columnist Cathy Young unfairly connects the Catholic League with Muslim extremists ["Intolerance is old hat, thrives in today's Islam," Opinion, Sept. 18]. In referencing the play "Corpus Christi," Young all too cutely lists the Catholic League's objection to the play after saying its opening was canceled due to bomb threats.
Sure, she rightly noted that Catholic League president Bill Donohue "disavowed the threats," but mentioning our opposition to the anti-Catholic production in the same paragraph as a terrorist threat cuts it a little too close.
