Where is resolve to stop gun deaths?

118,047 -- that's the number of people killed by gun homicides in the U.S. between 2004 and 2013, as reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In that same decade, by comparison, 277 U.S. citizens were killed by terrorism, according to the U.S. State Department and the Council on Foreign Relations. After another school shooting last week, President Barack Obama noted the huge monetary and legislative commitment to fighting terrorism. Perhaps if similar efforts are made to fight gun violence, more lives will be saved.
