Despite a host of pressing national problems, House Republicans today voted for the 33rd time to repeal President Obama's health care law.

Five Democrats joined them. Like the previous 32 votes, this one won't have any effect, since Obama and the Democrats who control the Senate won't budge.

But is this really the absurd waste of time it seems?

Perhaps it's just a very slow learning process. I'm reminded of "Groundhog Day," an unexpectedly profound movie in which Bill Murray's character is made to live the same day over and over again, until he gets it right.
