Regarding your editorial on the critical issue of arbitration, it might help if Newsday published the yes or no votes of our legislators on this bill, so citizens could know how their Assembly member and state senator voted and could contact them and cast informed ballots in the next election.

Perhaps readers would find a regular feature — “How they voted” on bills acted on in the previous week — to be a reason to subscribe. It would also be useful if Newsday always published the bill numbers in every article on any legislation. This would make it easier for readers to access information, including voting records, on the Assembly and Senate websites, and let legislators know their views.
