Musings: Liberty stands strong and alive

Our nation celebrated its 249th birthday Friday, so Americans should reflect on what is good and wonderful about living in this country.
We have many liberties that should not ever be taken for granted. Some other countries don’t have these freedoms: peaceful assembly, religious worship, expressing ourselves, coming and going as we please, and living wherever we want.
Yes, we have problems — unemployment, inflation, political and racial tensions, immigration, and crime issues — but these problems are being worked on.
This is the greatest country in the world, and I believe that it always will be so.
