Bob Keeler's timely piece brings into focus the desire of Long Island's Catholic community to fully advance the message of Francis, our new pope ["Choosing Long Island's next bishop," Opinion, May 19]. We must build on the strong, caring leadership of our administrators.
This group of priests, which has written a letter of concern about the selection of our next bishop, should be applauded for its commitment to the growth of the faith on Long Island. I pray that the proposal is encouraged and adopted.
