Don’t label Rep. King a white supremacist
The letter to the editor regarding Rep. Peter King is an insult to those who believe that we are a nation of laws and to King in particular [“King can’t ignore change in demographics,” June 11].
Believing that the law of the land should be followed, including strict enforcement of immigration laws, is to be expected of elected officials.
Belief in our legal system does not make King, or any other American who supports our system, a believer in white supremacism, as alleged by the letter writer. It’s past time that people stop vilifying those with whom they disagree.
