Our children deserve better
My words may be wasted, but it will relieve the pain I feel. I am hoping for a world where our children and grandchildren feel the same pride many of us felt as we grew up.
Life hasn’t always been easy, but I was so proud to be an American. I’m not commenting on what policies are right or wrong, but the language used by the people our children should look up to is inexcusable. No country leader should target those from other countries.
As a retired teacher, I’d have a difficult time defending our leaders today. Our children deserve better, and it’s our job to make that happen.
