Letter: Fair in Brookhaven too expensive

I read with interest the article about the Brookhaven Fair [“Monkeying around — and more, at this fair,” News, May 29].
It appears your reporter was given the golden-glove treatment.
I attended the fair and was unimpressed. It cost $5 to park and $8 just to walk into the venue. Then there was a charge of $20 to be able to ride just two rides.
How this is supposed to be something for working families to enjoy is beyond my mathematical abilities.
