Just Sayin’: A crowd to aid our troops
I recently saw an advertisement asking folks to pack boxes to send to our troops. My daughter and I went to the store and filled up the car.
We went to the address on Railroad Avenue in Patchogue to drop off our loot, and the street was full of people. I thought, something must have happened, and we’re all stuck!
A guy came over and asked why we were there. I said we had a load to drop off, and he told us to pull over. A dozen people walked over and began unloading my car!
I saw hundreds of packages all over the street, and volunteers unloading trucks and cars. I felt so proud.
