Letter: A dream: no switching at Jamaica Station

I read “Record LIRR ridership” [News, Jan. 24]. Given the numbers, how about a direct morning line to Penn Station from Oyster Bay, with no switching at Jamaica Station? Every morning is a nightmare trying to get a seat when the entire Oyster Bay train has to switch.
