Letter: A stark reminder of wealth inequality

The Nov. 18 issue of Newsday contained an ad for a $30,000 watch next to a story about a law firm that charges almost $1,000 an hour.
On the opposite page was a picture of a homeless man with his bicycle, holding all his possessions. The juxtaposition provided a sad example of the division of wealth in our country, as well as our inability to effectively take care of some Americans who are most in need.
