Newsday's Oct. 28 article on the election noted Nassau County Democratic Party chairman Jay Jacobs' statements regarding corruption charges against Republican State Sen. Dean Skelos of Rockville Centre and bribery and other charges against restaurateur Harendra Singh.

Nassau GOP Party chairman Joseph Mondello responded by pointing out the felony convictions of three former Democratic legislators: Roger Corbin, Patrick Williams and David Denenberg.

Integrity in government has reached an all-time low when political leaders argue over who's less corrupt. Sad.
