Letter: Bus service for disabled inadequate

My area of Glen Cove was cut for Able-Ride service by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority ["Hoping for NICE ride," News, Jan. 1]. So I was hopeful that Nassau County's privatization of Long Island Bus was going to bring back service.
When Newsday published the new county bus service's website address, I went on it the same day, only to discover that the service cuts weren't restored. So we have a new year, a new bus service provider in name only and the situation remains the same.
Again, the physically challenged residents of Nassau County get shafted.
