Letter: Buy gas at independent pumps

Regarding "Enraged over gas prices" [Letters, March 6], I would go much further than boycotting just Exxon Mobil. Most neighborhoods have a discount gas station. I have one in my town. Right now by paying cash, I save almost 20 cents per gallon.

Every motorist should gas up at these discount stations, even if it means traveling a nominal distance. We would both save money and hit these major oil profiteers in their wallets.

We must act, because as you can see, our government is, as usual, doing nothing.
