Letter: Column missed concept of faith

Columnist Amanda Fiscina was correct in “For millennials, a great disconnect” [Opinion, Feb. 7] that there is a significant gap for millennials and our Christian faith. However, she missed what faith is.
Christianity is not a search to make sense of our world. Christian worship is a response to what Christ has already done for us, in that by faith in him we are forgiven and have the certainty of spending eternity with God.
We don’t worship out of sentiment, family tradition or to escape our electronics. We worship to thank God for the unmerited gift of salvation.
