Letter: Concern about D.C.'s direction

It seems that House Republicans don't really govern; they are too busy investigating Hillary Rodham Clinton ["Clinton grilled on Benghazi," News, Oct. 23].
I also believe that the tea party is a major threat to the economic stability of the United States. If Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) won the presidency, would his first official act be to shut down the government?
