Letter: Congress should renew Zadroga Act

As a nurse in a pulmonary rehabilitation program on Long Island, I work with many Sept. 11 responders who have developed devastating lung disease as a result of their work on that day, and for weeks to months after [“De Blasio, Bratton join police, firefighters at Zadroga rally,” News, Dec. 7].
Their lives and the lives of their families have been changed forever. They are all heroes and deserve all the help and support they can get. Renewing the Zadroga Act is so important.
