Letter: Congress should share fiscal pain

Many middle class federal employees are taking a pay hit by being furloughed one day a week, which is a 20 percent income reduction ["Obama to take a 5% pay cut," News, April 4].
These people have mortgages and kids in college, and they have to cope with ever-increasing costs of living, as we all do.
Remember this on Election Day.
