Letter: Cyclists routinely ignore traffic laws

“Cycling clubs teach the rules of the road” [Letters, Sept. 20] is right to be so passionate about cyclists adhering to road rules.
Although there are many motorists and cyclists who do follow the rules, there seem to be a greater proportion of cyclists who don’t. As a cyclist and motorist living in Long Beach, I’ve witnessed many near-misses along Shore Road and Park Avenue. Cyclists routinely blow through red lights and stop signs. Of course, this poses a danger to pedestrians and motorists.
