Letter: Disqualify hopefuls under investigation

The presidential race was marred by legal troubles for both candidates [“No charges in email probe,” News, Nov. 7].
Hillary Clinton was under FBI scrutiny for her private email server. Donald Trump faced civil and state investigations for failed business enterprises.
Honesty and integrity in a presidential candidate should be qualifications of utmost importance.
Congress should pass legislation that disqualifies anyone from running for president who is under investigation.
