Letter: Don't criticize Marines
While the professionalism of our Marines urinating on dead Taliban members may be in question, let us not forget some things ["War's outrages at cyberspeed," Editorial, Jan. 13].
These men who killed an enemy of my country put their lives in jeopardy. These soldiers have likely seen more hatred toward our country than I can imagine. They could just as well have been killed by those who hate my country and then have their bodies paraded through the street.
Let us not forget that this enemy has beheaded journalists and soldiers. Perhaps this was the Marines' way of relieving some stress and trying to get some payback.
