Let's not reward criminal behavior so that inmates in prison attend college and earn degrees ["Why ex-prisoners can't get ahead," Opinion, Aug. 3].
Let's instead start during the early years, when young people misbehave in public schools. After seeing what they can get away with from a lack of discipline, they are emboldened to create even more serious mayhem as adults.
Spending on college classes for prisoners is unfair to decent students and their parents who play by the rules.
