Letter: Don't make SPCA appear wrong

Suffolk County SPCA Credit: SC SPCA
I must take exception to the article concerning the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ["Taking on SPCA raids," News, May 1].
The article exhibited bias. A defendant in a lawsuit should not be allowed to openly respond in a newspaper or any other media outlet. The article condemned the alleged actions of the pre-eminent animal safeguard agency that has served Suffolk County for more than 20 years.
