Donald Trump tries to write off his appalling and disgusting behavior as if it’s one of his failed business deals [“Trump can’t dismiss this,” Editorial, Oct. 9].

When Trump greeted his daughter Ivanka on stage at the Republican convention, he put his hands on her hips. This isn’t something a dad does to a married daughter. It smacked of impropriety and is entirely consistent with what we are now seeing and hearing.

He also brushes off his remarks that if Ivanka weren’t his daughter, he might date her. He dismisses his gross and lewd behavior by saying it’s a distraction. He’s the world’s distraction from decency.
