Letter: Earlier Sunday drinking unsafe

I can’t think of one positive that can come out of allowing patrons to drink on Sundays starting at 8 a.m. [“ ‘Brunch bills’ might soon put alcohol on early menu,” News, June 3].
Is it such an injustice that football and soccer fans won’t be able to get drunk before breakfast while watching their beloved teams? I hope the $250 permit fee is worth it to legislators when the first carload of kids gets crushed by a drunken driver at 10 a.m. on a Sunday.
