My heart goes out to the woman who wrote “Don’t be misled by fall’s pink ribbons” [Letters, Oct. 24].
After having mammograms every year for 20 years, I was diagnosed with breast cancer on the right side in 2004. Last year, a mammogram detected breast cancer in the left breast.
Early detection is assuredly not a cure; however, in some cases it’s a blessing.
