I agree with "Carrying too many bags on flights" [Letters, May 6]. Why should those of us who obey the restrictions for size and number of carry-on bags have to pay the price for those who don't?

I, too, have seen my regulation-size (or smaller) carry-on bags squashed by oversize bags and other items that should never have been allowed on the plane.

Strict enforcement of the existing regulations regarding maximum size and number of carry-on luggage should alleviate the problem.
