Why should a convict get to choose where he will serve his sentence [“Burke wants to go to prison near mother,” News, Dec. 3]?
Former Suffolk Police Chief James Burke broke the law. He violated another man’s civil rights. He beat up a prisoner who was defenseless. Burke should man up, do his time and stop looking for special treatment. He violated the public’s trust.
