When will the Long Island Rail Road come to its senses and commit to moving passengers, instead of allowing freight operators to use the tracks ["Freight train off the rails," News, Sept. 16]?

Another freight car derailment caused massive delays to thousands of passengers. I predict that it's only a matter of time before an accident involving a passenger train occurs because the tracks are burdened by excess freight traffic.
