I recently went to traffic court. Before any cases were called, the judge went over a few topics that would not be considered as a defense against receiving a ticket via a red-light camera. The one that annoyed me was there is no defense for a vehicle in a funeral procession to go through a red light unless a police officer directed it through.

I am a retired police officer, and I would never pull over a vehicle in a funeral procession to issue a summons unless it involved an accident! Shame on the traffic court and Suffolk County for allowing this!
