Letter: Goose kill is right for humans

In reference to "Planned goose kill draws protesters" [News, June 28], are we to believe that protesters would put the so-called rights of geese ahead of humans who may be hungry and homeless? Do these people also not care that the increasing number of these birds could possibly cause a horrendous plane crash resulting in human deaths?
The rights of humankind seem to be of little interest to these activists. They apparently afford top priority to this species that pollutes our parks with disgusting droppings.
It is difficult, if not impossible, to walk the pathways in the parks, much less allow our children loose to play with the freedom to which they are entitled. The geese must have their freedom, but not the children, is that it?
