Health care is a
basic gov't function
There are those who insist that government can only be made smaller if it is not invested in health care ["Truth is the best medicine in health debate," Opinion, July 3].
Health care and education should be the primary responsibilities of government. Without good health, people cannot hold a job, and without education, you cannot get a job.
Without these two main ingredients, what kind of a backward country would we become?
